Cynological Society for Great Danes eV The Cynological Society for Great Danes eV (KyDD eV) is a pedigree dog breeding association dedicated to the responsible breeding and welfare of the Great Dane. We are still a very young association, which was founded from the idea of learning from the mistakes of 100 years of Great Dane breeding. The association was founded on April 24th, 1988, entered in the register of associations on September 14th, 1988 and has been a full member of the Association for German Dogs (VDH) since October 14th, 1994. Our declared goal is to breed the healthy, long-lived, family-friendly Great Dane that we have all grown so fond of. In order to achieve this, we rely on the entire gene pool of the breed's population, which means that every Great Dane suitable for breeding worldwide that meets the criteria of selection can be used in breeding. This enables every breeder to breed foreign lines without any problems. We are convinced that with our work we can prepare a better future for the Great Dane. In our association, the statutory minimum requirements have been tightened many times over. The health breeding requirements for elbow and hip dysplasia have been tightened in the KyDD, which allows us to look to the future with a clear conscience. We look forward to welcoming you to one of our regular exhibitions soon. These events also serve to compare the population of our breed and are the meeting point and an excellent opportunity to make contact with breeders, other mastiff owners and other club members. It is often an interesting and nice experience to meet siblings or relatives of your own dog at an exhibition. And even if there should be problems with your Great Dane. We do not leave you alone; Our board members will be happy to assist you with words and deeds as far as they can. Yours sincerely, Heiko Wagner1. Chairman Veterinarian
